Responsibilities
- Cut, style, color, and straighten hair
- Advise clients on haircuts, hairstyles, and hair colors
- Shape and trim wigs, hair extensions, and toupees
- Style hair into dreadlocks, or braids, and add hair extensions
- Advise on hair care and hair products
- Shampoo hair and condition scalps
- Apply chemicals for coloring, straightening, and waving hair
- Use scissors, clippers, razors, hair straighteners, curling irons, rollers, hairdryers, and hot combs
- Keep all hairdressing tools clean and sterilized
- Arrange appointments and collect payments from clients
