One of the most amazing things about being a music artist is having to search for good music. You’re constantly looking for artists to collaborate with, trying to find good songs to sample, and searching high and low for quality music/beats. One of the easiest ways to find good music is by using Spotify.
Android Spotify Playlist search
Step 1: Open Spotify
The first thing you’ll need to do is open your Spotify app and make sure it’s logged in with the account that has the music library that you want to search.
Step 2: Review the Home tab
The Home tab will give you an overview of all of the music in your account as well as any playlists that you’ve created. You can also see any artists that have been recently played on shuffle or added to your library by clicking on their icons. The search bar is located at the top right corner of this page.
Step 3: Tap Browse
The Browse tab will show all of the genres and subgenres available on Spotify, along with some recommended playlists based on those genres. You can also use this tab to browse through individual albums or artists by touching their icons at the top of this page. The search bar is located at the top left corner of this page.
Step4: Tap Search
The first thing you’ll want to do is tap Search in the upper right corner of your screen. This will bring up a keyboard where you can type in any name or artist you want to look up.
Step5: Tap SHUFFLE PLAY
If you want to listen to a specific album or song in order, you can use Shuffle Play. This is useful for when you don’t know what you want to listen to (a lot of people’s moods are like that). Simply tap the Radio icon, then tap an album or song (or just touch and hold), and then press and hold SHUFFLE PLAY.
Step6: Tap the Radio
Tap the Radio icon in the top-left corner of your Spotify app home screen (or tap the Menu button on Android).
Step7: Tap an Album, an artist, a song, or a playlist
- Tap an album, an artist, a song, or a playlist that you want to search for in the left menu next to your profile picture (or click Search at the top of your screen).
- Type what you’re looking for into the search box at the top of the screen (e.g., “Coldplay” or “Mary J Blige”).
- Tap Search when you’ve found what you’re looking for or tap Albums or Artists to see other options.
How to find Spotify Playlists on Windows and Mac?
1. Open Spotify
This one is easy. Just open your Spotify app and log in. If you don’t have an account yet, you can sign up for free here.
2. Take a look at the music in the “OVERVIEW” section
The first thing you’ll see when you open Spotify is a big list of songs from all of your friends’ playlists and albums that are popular on the service right now (and what’s new). You can take a look at this list after logging in or go to any page on the site by clicking on any of the links at the top of the screen.
3. Explore the other “Browse” page categories
If you’re looking for something specific, like classical music or jazz, check out these browse pages: Classical, Jazz, New Releases, and Genres & Moods (these include electro house, dubstep, and more). You can also search through all genres by clicking on “Search” in the top right corner of any page, then typing in what you’re looking for — like “metal.” Clicking on any category will show you all available music from that genre
4. Click the Radio tab and search bar
This will open up a new search box where you can type in anything from your favorite genre to a specific decade and get a playlist of music from that time period, perfect if you want some background music while working!
- Type the name of a song or artist into the search bar, or browse your favorite genres and subgenres.
- Select a playlist or album you want to hear from the results list that appears below the search bar.
6. Check out the “YOUR MUSIC” section
The first step in finding music is to look at your own playlists and albums. You can explore these by clicking on the “YOUR MUSIC” tab at the top of any Spotify window (or by clicking on the account icon in the upper-right corner).
7. Review the “PLAYLISTS” section
You’ll see a list of all your playlists, along with a few suggestions for new ones that might be worth exploring: Top Hits, Top Tracks, and New Releases. Click any of these sections to browse through them. You can also click Create Playlist at the top of this page if you’d like to make one yourself from scratch.
8. Click an album, a song, an artist, or a playlist
If you know what kind of music you want — say, blues — then start typing that into the search bar at the top of this page (you don’t need quotes around it). Once your results.
9. Click PLAY
This will bring up a list of all the artists available on Spotify. If you don’t see any artists listed here, click on “More Artists” at the bottom of the window. This will show you more artists and albums currently trending on Spotify. Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services, and it’s easy to use.
Spotify Web Player – Find songs in playlists
1. Open the Spotify Web Player
The first thing you want to do is open up the Spotify Web Player. This can be done in a few different ways:
Click on any song or album and click on “Listen Now” in the bottom left corner of your screen to open up Spotify’s web player.
2. Explore the music on the “Browse” page
Once you’re in the Spotify Web Player, you’ll see options for browsing music by genre, artist, album, or playlist at the top of your screen. Clicking these options will take you to pages full of relevant music for each category. For example, if you clicked on “Browse,” you would see pages such as Browse by Genre, Browse by Artist and Browse by Playlist. On each page, there are also sections that allow you.
3. Click Search
Here you’ll see a search box where you can type in an artist, album title, or song. To narrow down your results, use the options above it.
4. Click Your Music
This will bring up all of your saved music, including albums and playlists that you’ve created yourself. You can also click Browse Artists, Browse Albums and Browse Songs if you’d like to browse by category instead of by name.
5. Click a song or an album
Click a song, an album, an artist, or a playlist. Once you’ve found something that looks interesting, click it to play it immediately or add it to one of your playlists (which we’ll talk about next).
